Known for the Chinchilla Persian with the most sophisticated palate, Fancy Feast has been crafting extraordinary eating experiences for cats for over 25 years.
But in a market saturated with artisanal pet foods, the brand needed a way to engage with a growing cat-loving audience, while spicing up the dialogue with its loyal fan base.
Our partnership revealed a crucial insight: we needed to stop simply talking about cats, and start talking about what really matters to people who see their cats as friends and family. The conversation needed to reflect the cat-owner lifestyle.
We started off with a social media overhaul, creating a unique look and feel, and launching the first of a lifestyle-focused content series. Our fashion-forward “Fancy This with That” proved so popular that Elle Style 360, with designer Malan Breton, created a Fancy Feast inspired line for New York Fashion Week. The result was a dramatic expansion of our community.
We launched “Delights With Cheddar” with CheeseAffair.com. Curated by cheese expert Liz Thorpe, the site was a one-stop source for all things paste and rind. And our Pinterest contest to attend a gourmet cheese party in NYC proved wildly successful—further putting the brand top of mind among cat-loving foodies.
With the holidays fast approaching, we created the first annual Feastivities: the ultimate holiday destination for cat-lovers. People could purchase our hand-made holiday ornament and browse Fancy Feast inspired gifts by Etsy designers. Feastivities proved a huge hit, tapping into a craft-oriented culture, selling out Etsy shops, and gifting over $40,000 to pets in need.
We topped it all off with a completely reimagined FancyFeast.com. The site was the culmination of the brand’s food and lifestyle philosophy, featuring intuitive and clever ways to shop socially and find the perfect feast for your cat.
