ROKKAN is pleased to announce its expansion into two new markets, Chicago and Los Angeles, in addition to the arrival of industry veteran Brian Carley, who has rejoined the organization as executive creative director. Carley brings with him more than 14 years of deep creative expertise, and will be responsible for overseeing, scaling, and guiding ROKKAN’s creative output and direction across its diverse client roster. He will be based in the company’s New York headquarters and report to chief creative officer and managing partner, Charles Bae.

Carley joins ROKKAN after serving as SVP and executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, where he worked across multiple disciplines on a number of award-winning campaigns and new business initiatives. Under Carley’s creative leadership, the agency’s New York office launched a number of multi-faceted campaigns, from large-scale television productions to digital & mobile applications and everything in between. He was also instrumental in many of their new business wins. His clients included Lenovo, Trident, P&G, Novartis, General Mills, Slipknot, and several others. His work has been heavily awarded including honors from Cannes Cyber Lions, One Show Interactive, FWA, The Webbys, and The CLIOs. Prior to Saatchi, Carley spent two years as a creative director at ROKKAN and held the same position previously at JWT. He has also spent time with Organic and Hyphen.

ROKKAN’s expansion to Chicago and Los Angeles comes on the heels of a breakthrough year in which the shop became part of the Publicis Groupe family and added a number of new brands to its roster in addition to significant organic growth amongst its current clients. The agency also increased overall revenue and headcount by 52% and 96% respectively in 2012.

The Chicago and Los Angeles markets are natural progressions for the shop given the geographic location of several of its clients and the agency’s deep expertise in CPG, gaming & entertainment, travel, and e-commerce. ROKKAN will source local talent in addition to leveraging and relocating existing staff in each of these locations as needed. ROKKAN Chicago will be located at 35 West Wacker Drive in the renowned Chicago Loop and ROKKAN Los Angeles at 6500 Wilshire Blvd on the city’s famed Miracle Mile.
