GE has been at the forefront of ongoing advancements in renewable energy. GE’s Wind Energy accounts for over 10,000 wind turbine installations around the world. And one of the most recent technological advances has allowed GE to develop wind turbines that can be installed near shore, providing added flexibility and adaptability.

PLAYING WITH WIND
Rokkan worked with BBDO to launch an Augmented Reality webcam game that allows users to control the wind in their hands as they power a major city in China. By printing an image onto a piece of paper and holding it to your webcam, a user can tilt and maneuver a three-dimensional scene of wind turbines in order to catch wind as it travels toward the user. The more wind the user catches, the brighter their city lights up. The tides also shift from low to high the longer the user stays online.

In addition, banner ads were developed driving awareness and traffic to the website and encouraging users to explore GE Wind Energy through the AR webcam game.
